Despite losing 2 exhibition games & the opening game of the Olympics, the mens team seized their 4th straight gold medal in Japan's Olympics triumphing over France, 87-82. The team was led by Kevin Durant (29 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists with a block) and Jayson Tatum (19 points, 7 rebounds with a steal) as well as Bam Adebayo's activity of the defensive end (5 defensive rebounds, 3 blocks and a steal) and Jrue Holiday's stellar defense on Evan Fournier. Fournier did lead France in scoring along with Rudy Gobert (16 points). Fournier only shot 5-15 FG% (2-9 from 3 point range). Coach Greg Popovich did a masterful job allowing to Gobert to find his offense as he wasn't a defensive presence inside like he normally is.
